Who We Are
Second Street Media is a two-person business operated by Dana and Bob Thiele. Dana received her Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Virginia in 2001, where she majored in Fine Art - in addition to concentrating on painting, Dana took extensive coursework in photography, including classes on architectural and landscape photography. While at UVa Dana also worked as a sports photographer for Corks & Curls (UVA's yearbook).
Bob also graduated from the University of Virginia in 2001, with a degree in chemical engineering. Bob learned to design web pages during his time in the engineering school, which he has been doing since 1999. Bob has been interested in photography since high school (mostly outdoor shots taken during backpacking trips).
Dana and Bob, who were married in June, 2008, both ran cross country and track at UVa, where they met. After living different parts of the country and world (Austin, Nashville, Minneapolis, Seattle, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Valencia), they are proud to call Charlottesville their home - Dana works for Wimberley Inc., maker of high grade professional photography equipment, and Bob is a resident physician at UVa.
